The Texas State Capitol, home to the chambers of the Texas State
Legislature and the office of the Governor of Texas, is located at the
starting point of Congress Avenue, one of the most important streets
in Austin, the capital of Texas. The entire Congress Avenue district
is listed on the National Register of Historic Places with the
Robinson-Rosner Building at 504 Congress as the district's oldest
documented building (1856).
